Vestry
The most gothic suite is totally ecclesiastical in
flavour like the hideaway of a particularly decadent
Cardinal! Walls, curtains and bed are all hung with
opulent red and gold fabrics whilst the bathroom is
a fantastic riot of trompe l’oiel drapery that is
passionately red, red, red!

Library
Rich red velvet drapes and Paisley covered walls
make the Library the perfect place in which to curl
up with someone special, read a book, or just to
gaze at the Royal Mile below. Even the bathroom
with its tub-for-two is a book-lined hideaway, hidden
behind a secret door!

Sempill
Hidden along a private stone-walled close the
Sempill is our latest suite. Just as dramatic and
decadent as the rest, the Sempill features a huge oak
four-poster with tumbling antique drapes within its
red velvet-lined bedroom, as well as emerald-green
sittingroom and antique oak panelled bathroom.

Armoury
From the Armoury’s tapestry-hung entrance hall,
you realise that this suite is all drama and romance!
Whether in the intimate salon, all black, gold and
purple, or in the oak panelled bathroom with its
huge bathtub! The rich red panelled bedroom has
one final delight – an antique oak four poster bed.

Guardroom
Military uniforms decorate this top floor suite with
its dramatic black and gold hall and opulent red
sittingroom. In the very unlikely event that you tire
of the delights of its romantic four-poster bed, this
suite has views over Princes Street to Fife, as well as
an antique oak-panelled bathroom.

Old Rectory
Rich, dark red and so very, very gothic with gilded
pinnacles and a gothic oak bed, the red-lined Old
Rectory is built for romance! A French daybed sits in
the red and gold drapery-lined sittingroom and
hidden away is a chapel-like bathroom with gothic
ceiling, marble floor and bathtub for two.

Inner Sanctum
With its ravishing antique four-poster bed and
dramatic red and gold walls, the first Witchery suite
set the exceptional standards the others have
followed. Hidden off of the tartan-lined study, a red
lacquer bathroom with antique bathtub is where
you’ll probably (both) spend quite a lot of time!

Heriot
Entered from a dramatic black and gold hallway, the Heriot's sitting room is panelled with ancient oak panels and has walls hung with tapestry. Striking antler furniture features in the breakfast area and a sumptuous four-poster bed with huge gothic headboard is lavishly draped with embroidered green and gold velvet hangings.
